Melville, 5.8m, SP44, CL26 slalom. Optimistic setup- a bit too keen to get back on the small gear, when I probably should have used the 6.6m and bigger board. Wind was swinging between W and SSW. A lot of upwind sailing and some sinking. Still good fun to get out. Had a crack at a NM heading off to majestic pt from Melville. A bit choppy of course, but happy with a 33 considering the conditions.

Gnaraloo bay - 30+ knots with the Koncept 5.8, Kinetic Centurion, Falcon 28cm.  A great sail to finish off the week up here.  PB of 37.38 on the dial - stoked!!

ah ah ah nice one Chris Cool,  yeees the 50 not 44 thats why I changed it was a tad small for a small run! Sound like we had the same condition, swinging wind & sinking Wink, I had water to my knee with the 44 Surprised

nah- nothing flash. Just got one proper gust (2nd run) and decided to keep going. Only did 4 reasonably powered up squirts (on both tacks) so av was crap. Wind was a bit dodgy. It died off so I came home- only to notice it cranking on the way back up the freeway. Oh well...

Sam, glad you had a good sail. Congrats on your PBs. I expect some bigger numbers in the coming season. One of the best things about these boards is that they eat up lulls. Even the 40 and 44. Sure they sink (they are speed boards) but once planing they stay planing. I had fun!

thats right Chris, I noticed with both of them specially the 44, you are under the water and soon you move from the front to the back of the mast, nose out, the board just take off very quickly Surprised

And I expect much better results for myself, I have the best for myself, I just have to pull out my fingers!

I think I am in love...

Nice piece of work there Whito - ditto the pics and more info - I saw some video of Finnian at G Bay on speed gear a few years ago - guess you found the same spot. Reg raves about it too.

Cheers
