Very quick squirt around at Melville. Angry wife as guests arriving for Chrissy drinks at 4!!

Rigged big, 09 Koncept 7.5 and 08 iSonic 122, Drake 40. Happy with the speeds from this stuff. One run at the end on Manta 64/36 Goldwing then the wind dropped.

Woops, loaded last night's data into today's date - now fixed with today's run. Midday session at Peli to get in early before next Chrissy party. Wind was very westerly and gusty but had some good runs. Managed a straight run to Melville at one point which was fun...thought i spotted a couple of other SRM's out there. Flying run back to Peli just in time to meet the 3 different flotillas of yachts having a race right in the middle of the run back home. A fluky wind made that interesting.....

okay, posting proper data off the new shiny gt-31

long day at mandurah, initially thought of going for distance, but wit a lot of wind early had a go at some speed. serious l;ack of fitness/flexaility had me waiting around on the shore a lot, and didnt really get any decent speeds early... probably should have used the 5.8 as well, as the 6.7 seemed a little big for the conditions and the speed board.

had a shot at an hour a bit later after borrowing a pointer from alby. (thanks mate!) that helped with getting the distance up as well. went back on the run afterwards for a bit but didnt aacheive anyting.. probably should have stayed out getting some more distance to back up claude. -cant wait to see his numbers!

congrats to all crew who achieved pb's today. quiet a few notable efforts out there.

Nice cruisy session at Hardies with the Mandurah mob, Tim down as well for SRM, did not plan on distance but after doing 120 odd kms on speed board decided to put in a few more on slalom gear.

SS W49, 6.7, 27 Choco weed, later Iso 86, 6.1, 29F1.  GT31 doppler.

Estuary, 8.3kms was the longest leg, rig failure would

have meant a long trip back.

Thanks for that Claude. A lot of wandering around the estuary. As you say a problem would have meant a long swimFrown. I have considered carrying a mobile phone in my Aquapac just in case.... maybe not much could be done to assist but at least people would know what is going on. ( and there is the mandurah Water Rescue boat). Were the relatively close in tracks by Len Howard reserve later in the day?  I have been that distance across before, at 25+ kts it does not take long, at 1 kt would be frightening.
