Had a session at Safety Bay this arvo wind never quite got there

Snapped downhaul rope whilst rigging on the other side of the cleat, it was a few cm short of the desired point and I could not be bothered changing rope so left sail underdownhauled, that was first mistake of the arvo sail felt like a pig so came in to rerig after a few short runs. Looking at results though it was like this when i got my top 2 speeds.

Then I insisted on using my Carbon art SP50 although i could get it planing just not enough volume, would have had a better session on my isonic 101

kept having to wait for the gusts in the end kept perseveering to help build sailing fitness back up when i should have packed up earlier

did not enter hour as there was about a 10 minute wait between each run

Today was last day at work until feburary so bring on more seabreezes

Quick blast after work with loads of peopleCool.

Wind was inconsistent so no great #s. Tried for an hour initially beut gusty wind and several cocked up gybes put paid to that.

Isonic 105, RSSII 6.7 and jp36 weedy

Tabou 115 rocket, Hellcat 6.7m, 36cm jp weedie. Love this combination. Good day out with the crew sailing comfortably powered up until the wind dropped out around 5:30ish. Still practicing gybes so I can catch up with Steve Smile

Fun session on a marginal wind with few MMs .. had one only powered jybe. I tried the hour today but the wind was dropping slowly!! mhh

Testing a new board (recycled 07, X Ado!) and fin , setup the mast base at the wrong spot (to much at the front) and realised it half way thru my Hr! Ado say "thats where the base goes" and I did, but because a weedy, should have set it more at the back (20-25mm)! Did after the Hr and felt much better, and easier to go upwind. Well better next time... I really love the board, it feel right for me Wink. Should had used the 7.2!

Tabou 59, 6.7 RSS, 290/40_SS  (think that fin ll work well with the 7.2)

Sam wanted to do an hour today on his new board so had a go at backing him up, quite pleased with the result, although underpowered alot of the time, and I ended up at Nairns, with a long haul back upwind, (witch was dropping rapidly, worried that I might not make it before dark).

But the water was very flat and I feel good after it, also a nice social gathering at downrig time.

Used my typical lightwind gear, thommen 59, lightning 6.0 and herbie's modified fin. very pleased with this combo, looks like I'm fairly competitive with it.

I used most of the estuary today, 1 hr downwind, 1 hr back up again, doesn't look like a lot of tracks for 2 hours sailing and 67km

Don't be so hard on yourself evets, you've help put us in outright 2nd place, instead of sharing it with SRM.

But then LeSam, Elmo and Man of are yet to post, we could both be overidden.

I am surprised on my hour, I was not planing for some of the rime and messed up several gybes.

It is 12 months since I did my hour pb, I keep missing it due to wind up and down, falling in on gybes, knocked the fin clean out of the isonic last summer on an epic evening of strong wind and flat water and a dozen other reasons.... really want to improve on this div soonFrown

Look forward to chasing you around the estuary Steve (ok maybe sailing in your wake as you dissapear into the distanceTongue out)
