Starboard S-Type 126, Loft O2 7.4, 40cm Curtis fin

A midnight southerly change brought out the roaches early today. I was up at 5:30 and sailing by 6:30. The wind was great until about 7:00 when it started to die. Note to self: ALWAYS pack the formula gear! I was hoping to sneak a quick 100km before I had to be off the water by 10, but it was not to be.

Out with Troy and Tim - Mike was already calling it quits when I was heading out - had dropped of to about 10-12knts (mostly 10) by then - honestly though it wasn't sailable.

Troy and I gave in early, the Formula boys where having fun though.

Sunday Morning Session - oh so sweet!!!! S-SE 10 - 14

Drops MB14, NP RSR Evo II 10.7 Drake R19 70

A great sail with Ad's and Seano blasting about the bay, Brett arrived and thought we were all mad beating him there by 8.30. Felt a bit for the freeride guys.

starboard 161, vmg k70, rs racing 10.7

great day for formula, rain kept the usual stink boats & jet ski's off the water.

After a 4.5km run on one tack Adam, Tim & myself abandoned our voyage across to Kurnell when the wind looked like it was going to leave us stranded.

Great to get some long runs in, to tweak some board and sail tuning issues and to work out those many other niggling issues! A really fun sail. Happy new year boys and thanx.Laughing

Looks like everyone went early this morning. I headed out around lunchtime and launched from Ramsgate Beach. Wind was SE 8-12kts at the most. Good fun session.

I've got this week off & should have a couple more botany bay drives in me. Another southerly would be good.

I'm hoping to get a decent nor-easter at narrabeen lake to try & crack 35..

May be time for Andrew to take a second look at formula gear, one rig from 8 to 25 knots should be a compelling argument
