CR 7.0; iSonic 105 Choco Weedspeed 30 then Fireblade 34

Very strange day...looked promising but the first few hours were  frustrating to say the least...huge holes, humid breeze, no power.

Then later, just when I was completely stuffed the breeze proper came in...changed to the Choco 34 and went out for a little while but was too stuffed and a bit overpowered on the 7.0.

Nelson, Annie, Stribo and Windrider also out...BOGDog on the beach and many of the other PSS'ers at the LOC...hope they were wearing GPS's!

Exocet Cross 104L with 6.6M KA Koncept & 32cm F2 fin = crap, underdone & hard work so re-rigged.

Exocet 104L with 7.0M T-bird & 36cm F2 fin = Laughing

Then it got windy & I got tired so came in & changed boards.

Thought I would try the new Exocet Cross 84L with the 7.0 = Laughing

Then it got a bit windier & I got a more tired so I came in & stole Annie's 5.9M KA Koyote = Laughing

Now I'm totally stuffed Frown

Big day out. 5.9KA Koyote & 94 lt Cross.

Came in at one stage to get my new board - Nelson was putting a fin in it. I guess I'll have a go on it tomorrow.Cry

Fun daySmile

LOC - Like most others I ended up with too much sail. Got a reasonable start and run to the first mark but then had alot a trouble getting to all the rest. Was a continual battle to keep bearing away. Survived until the last mark, by then I was unable to hang on. Frustrating to to be looking at the pub but unable to get there. Ended up spending 5 min before finally getting under way again. Glad to get back to dry land.

Code red 9.0, isonic 121, jp 36 weedy ( I hate weedies)

Got to give a big thanks to Jez and Paul from 2nd wind who lent me the isonic 121. It was a perfect board for the day, didn't stuff the nose once.

Danny's LOC results

Posted by Nelson.

Pretty quick times considering the size of gear & conditions, I think most guys were only doing about 25Kn fully sheeted outSurprised

Hitched a ride up to the LOC with Paul at 2ndWind. Great day, 200 and something competitors, most people said they rigged too big and were a bit overdone!! Some PSSer results:

Annika - 2nd!!!!

Jesper - 7th!!

SteveS - 13th!!

Darryl was up there, but I didn't see Cheryl at the finish.... How did you go Cheryl?

2ndWind Paul also did well, came in 2nd for the Masters - me thinks he fibbed on the form!! Master??

Great pics.  Especially of Danny!  Thanks Scott.  Was pretty happy to finish 2nd behind Karin...   well was pretty happy just to finish.  I too ended up a bit overpowered.

Cheryl I definately know the feeling.  Think there were 60 others who joined you in not finishing!

In the usual madness before the race I forgot my GPSInnocent.  I've already had the lecture from the grumpy dog who evidently has resumed the team nagging role.
