Went up to Stanley early to catch high tide to try for an hr but the whole inlet was chopped up from a big easterly pumping in. Chop was about a metre high and close together so made it hard work waited for the tide to run out to flatten it off then it was good. I was just about stuffed and the young guns turned up (Izaak and Jordan) had a few blasts with them, I can see how they got so fast by the amount of practice and km's they have racked up.  This is an Alpha pb on the Isonic 76 for me I've learnt how to stay on round the corners now learn not to stall the thing.  5.8 Koncept venom 30

Firie you will have to get out a bit more than once every 2 months if you want to get back in front of these lads!!Wink

Awesome sail at Stanley, it's always a great sail every time it's pumping in eastly here. 2 hour drive from home is worth it big time!!! Wind was about 22 knots ENE when we got there and strengthened to about 27 knots as we were about to leave. Great to see Johno out when we got there, it's always fun sailing with friends/teammates. Sailed in the second channel for 1/3 of the sail and it was a tad choppy and i was only doing 29's on the sonic but got my alpha here. Then went back to the first channel for a couple of runs and it was a lot flatter. Went in for a quick break and johno asked if i wanted a lend of his speed board and i was like YES PLEASE!!!! Felt great get to some quality time burning around on a board built for speed!!! We had about an hour and a half before the tide was too low to run any more so we made the best of it, gees i love this spot. Would have probably done PB speeds if the run was a tad longer and wider but you can't have everything. I want to thank Johno for the lend of the board really made my day you champ and Izaak for coming with me :)

Sonic90/IS 50 Proto(my IS 50 should arrive some time later this week can't wait after today!! :) , 5.6 SSR
