| B (37814km): Kyeemagh 15-20 S Starboard S-Type 104, Loft O2 5.9, 30cm Select Viper fin Reallllly late start. Breakfast with the girls didn't finish until 1pm. I think they got a PB for the longest sentence without drawing breath! It was 15 knots when I finally got down to the water at 1:30 so I rigged the 7.4. As I was screwing my fin in, I heard a BANG from my rig. Everything looked fine except for the sharp angle in the mast/luff pocket. Bugger. Mast snapped. At least it didn't break while I was out on the water. This was the mast I was sailing on doing runs across to Kurnell yesterday. Solo for most of them. Dodged THAT bullet! That mast was from y2k, so it's had a great life. Thankfully the Lofts have a huge wind range, so I rigged the 5.9 and had a blast! A little underpowered, but still planing most of the time.
Doctor Destructo strikes again:
Other than that, a fairly uneventful afternoon:

Bossman (14551km): ![]() Ramsgate SE 15-20 knots. JP Slalom Pro VI 68 Neil Pryde RS Racing 7.8 Tectonics Talon 40. Nice sail today until BANG !!!!! mast broke, out in the middle of Botany Bay. Many thanks to Wayne Bowness who I was sailing with. He went back to shore and grabbed the Stormriders rescue boat. If I hadnt been with him I would still be out there and probably minus a sail and boom as well. Thanks also to Tim for keeping the sharks occupied with all sorts of tricks.

| Rogues (2694km): Ramsgate, 15-20 knt S. JP X-cite Ride 130l, NP RSS mkIII 7.8m, stock fin. Short sail at Ramsgate. Brought the wrong gear. Should have broght my smaller board but I didn't think the wind was going to be quite so strong. Oh well. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Sean Dayhew (8784km): ramsgate, 15knots jp slalom II 94, RSR II 7.0, 34cm JP III fin spent too long stuffing around changing over broken cambers & missed the best of the wind. Should have taken the formula board out | ||||||||||||||||||
