Had good quick sail at Inverloch with Jerry and Evan. Meet some of the crew there too. It was my first flat water sail for over 6 years in Aus and the first with a GPS. I was bit under done with the 6.5m at times, but good to get out. I'm looking forward to anther session soon on flat water to increase my speeds etc. Laughing

Not a bad day at Inverloch earlier in the morning especially. 15-18 knots SW slowly easing in strength as the day went. Mostly underpowed but comfortable in the better gusts on the 6.5m Ezzy freeride. Board was again the Futura101 with a 35cm Select SL7. Sailed the second half of the day on the outer channel with Steve and Jerry. Some nice long runs though mostly underpowered - no chance of catching or keeping up with either of them.

Had a long weekend at Lakes Entrance, unfortunately by the time the tent was erected it was a bit late in the day. The Cunninghame Arm between the Holiday Park and the ocean was very gusty and no good for sailing on that day. Locals told us Lake Tyre is the go, which turned out to be a puddle and a waste of time. We decided to go to Metung as originally planned where the wind was quite good 18 - 20kts at the west side. So took the V8 7.5 and in a bit of a hurry (was already 5:30pm) I busted a cam when rigging. So up went the 6.2 Hellcat instead. Had about an hour on the water (3 decent runs and a max speed of only 22.82kts) when my bro in law lost his kite board and I had to go downwind for his rescue. The wind then died completely and I was further punished with a 500m walk of shame. At least I found his lost kite board floating on the water and was rewarded by him with a few ales afterwards.

Last sail for my Inverloch holiday was a bit slow to get on the water and missed out on the best wind

Well done Steve! Pity the wind didn't pick up - would have been nice to see how you found the new Isonic & demo sail.
