CA40 with Koncept 5.0 and 20cm assy KA fin. Did 4 runs against incoming tide. Had to sail 50-100m away from the bank because of shallows and weeds. Wind chop and rolling waves were in different directions creating a mess that was far from comfortable.

Ricketts Sth, Kaos 5.3, Acid94,   30-40 knots 6ft waves, floaty jumps, maxed out,

Two runs only. High tide and very rough with waves and rolling swell. Gave up. :-(

1st run on CA50 and 5.4 KA Race.

2nd run and best on CA40, KA20 assy and 4.4m KA Koncept. Wind gusting 35 knots at a guess. Very west.

Tom was just a bit too slow getting back after his last run and we had to abandon his car in the inlet as the tide rushed in. We came back at 10pm to get it when the tide had dropped. It was a reallt super high tide!

Tom's speed is really awesome given the conditions, his stature and his experience, but I think his best ever is 42 odd? Perhaps this wasn't posted on GPSTC. Am I right Tom?
