Crappy winter gusty sail, rigged on the strongest gust of the day and never ever really got any but but worseYell  JP 76 Slalom V Gaastra Vapor 6.7m needed (7.6) jpweed 36 at least better than working

7.7m hellcat, 95l rocket, 34cm jp ss weedie. Slogged for a bit in the morning with Steve on the 115, then changed down to the 95 which really went well with the 7.7 at that wind strength.

Sailed through the arvo with Elmo and Hards making it more interesting.

Great session in SBay, even the wind a bit up and down and also swinging Cool

Had the 6.7 RSS and the 5,8 RSR ready and picked the Racing Smile, what the great sail... amazed by the power in light wind, the stability and quick respond in the gust... had a ball it felt so comfortable!! Everyone else was on 6.5 and + ! I just love it, its like my 5.8 Slalom with more power and stability. It felt great on the manta... yeeeah nice one, happy chappy sammy Wink

Went everywhere, a bit of pond a bit of Island, a bit of bay... good stuff

Sorry Joe, would have love to sail down there with you but just not enough wind... next time maybe (cant wait to test my new toys down there on the flat yeeeah)

JP Slalom VI 65cm & 68cm, NP RSR 6.7m, Jp Freeride weed 36cm, chooko weeed 40cm

Giot down there to see Pepe Ripping around and Hardz chugging (I assumed he was on one of his Iso's) wanted to give the RSR it's first try out, OMG this poor little thing has had a hard life.

Dodging all the dog crap in the rigging area where the F'king lazy locals don't clean up their mongrels shiteYell Bunged the mast up the sleeve, pushed it in the last bit only to have the mast rip the stitching out of the sleeve and poke out, bit of fannying around and eventualy got it back (thanks Pepe) rigged it up, found one of the cam zipes was broken, carried on rigging connected to the board, looked up to see the wind line receeding.

Chucked the steamer on headed down to the water only to see Hardz isn't chugging on a Iso, he's on his big board, just as well I'm to lazy to walk 50m back to the car and swap boards, I went out on the 65cm, very high tide today, chugged out eventually got going, sail felt quite nice, I may like thisCool went to gybe ran out of wind flipped the sail started chugging found the sail hadn't rotated, another sail set up with the batten tension set up tight enough to cut through the mast with the camUndecided, kicked the cam over got going after a while got back to the chanel and took 3 turns of cam adjustment out, still a bit sticky, got some semi reasonable runs but way underpowered, a few more adjustments on the batten tension got it almost working right.

Went in with Hardz, grabbed the 68cm and the 40cm chook but the wind dropped even more got a couple of kinda powered runs, the flagged it.

As Hardz said it's better than workingCool

Congrats Pepe on your PB

Promising forecast that never happened. Went with the Iso 105, JP36 weedy and RSS 7.8.

Also tried 28-34 cm variable  harnes lines today, big improvement for upwind work in light wind. Wind was not great until Hardie drove off because of lack of wind., Huey saw this act and immediately the wind blew better for 90 minutes.

All in all good fun on the water with Pepe. Congrats on the PB today Pepe, good effort fora cold day (well cold for us!).

Just tried the reader on KA72.com      what a great facility, thanks DylanCool

Quick secsh in a decent southerly on the big kit. Ended up quite enjoyable. Came in with dry hair gotta be happy as the water was pretty cold. Only down side was as i was unrigging i noticed a hole inthe mono film. Nothing that cant be fixed though. First time with the 40cm weedy on the RRD. MMMMMMM me thinks its a keeper

No wonder the 8.4m felt big in the gusts. I wish it was a SW'er i could have had a crack at getting mid 30's out of the big kit

Hey Evets,

Good to see you got out todaySmile

Would have preferred to make the trip south, but ended up doing some quite productive programming instead...

Wind was pretty good up here actually, I was quite well powered on the 6, had to pull in the outhaul all the way at one point.
