Kurrimine Beach, QLD, AU

Kurrimine Beach.     ....In 1991 I bought my first wave board in Mauii (a HighTech, shaped by Craig Maisonville) about 75 L.   Used to love using it in Gero and getting Smart Ass remarks about its shape etc....Herb finally shamed me into buying a JP 77 L but I still had a soft spot for  Old Yella.          ....Anyway today I dusted it off and had a spin on it, but the wind in Kurri is not the same as the wind in Gero and I struggled a bit with it even though I used 5.9m.................So after lunch I reclaimed my 105l Screamer back from Herby and was just enjoying a good cruise with it when (Crack)   turban busted and the sail came down the mast.    Being more considerate  Innocent  than  Herby I was only 50m off beach with only a moderate walk back.

You gotta see this old relic.    (No not Herby)Wink

Freddie, nice day at Kurri, Congats on the distance mate.Wink

Lyn, the board looks good and I could see you have a soft spot for it. Maybe just the cobwebs need dusting off.Tongue out

Herb. I was totalled by the time I got home and slept like a log. Sorry for not turning up today but wind seemed lighter today and with the rain and cold thought I'd give it a miss.Undecided

Hope to get back there tomorrow.

Lyn I remember old yellow very well, also the lovely gybes you could do on it. Lucky you didn't have far when the turban snapped, it's not easy to sail once that happens.
