JP Slalom VI 68cm, Vandal Stitch 7.5m, Chooko spinout weeed 40cm.

Underdone for most of the session, I've never had to pump a sail so much in all my life (god I hate pumping sails, yes I'm a lazy muppet).

Got a few nice runs where I was reasonably powered up at which time the fin decided to let got, oh well I was powered.

Great to see so many Mobbers out, Great to have Adam back in WA, Yoyo gave us a scare with disapearing over to Claudesville with a small board and sail.

Nice to be on the water

Good to be back in WA waters and good to see so many Mandurah Mobbers out for a winter cruise

Had just finished rigging my 7.8 when Elmo came in and told me to go bigger, was hoping to never see the 8.6 again after my stint on the east coast but lucky I did

2 sec and NM were on my first run off the beach it only went downhill from there,

Glory Holes, NNW 8-15knts very on/off

1st sesh and downwinder RRD120 Fire Race, RSR 8.4m, RRD 50cm pointer

2nd sesh F2SX68, RSR 7.2m, 36F1

I GOT PLANNING SO AM STOKED. First sail in 8 weeks. Its was great to be on the water agin. First seh was fun. I had to be at the inlaws for lunch and as the wind was the perfect angle for a down winder i rocked up lunch dressed in my short wettie. The run down there was great adn o get all my top speeds in this run.

The missus dropped me back to my car with going back and unrigging. Instead i rigged my medium wind kit and had another quick sesh.

One happy bender. pb for the 50cm rrd pointer of 26.59knt display

very enjoyable light wind cruise with me mates. mainly going for the hr and distance, so I rigged bugsy's 7.3 on big bird, with the timber weedy.

My light and simple footstrap, had it's first problem, screw came a bit loose and the strap twisted, this caused a seperation between webbing and rubber. Keef's held up well, but Evets changed both of them when he tried the board and sail. Keefs is just a bit tight with booties.

The Gps showed a 30.66kt but I guess I didn't clear it properly, I certainly wasn't going any faster than anybody else.

Very pleased with the hr, alpha and distance. I haven't been very fond of big gear in the past, but this combo works well for me, arms are only sore where the GPS strap is a bit too tight, don't feel like I've done close to 100km. at all

EDIT. changed distance to doppler using realspeed instead of gpsarpro, other numbers are so close, not worth fiddling with

Working my coit off at my daughters house, fixing up feature fence around pool.Cry I did see the breeze kick in, but wasn't anything to get too excited about (check swanbourne wind graph)Frown

Looking at what you guys got down there, the Formula and the 8.6 would probably have workedSmile

Thanks hardie, must admit I was a bit surpried by the hr, guess we just had a good spell of wind then, I certainly didn't drop off the plane, and we finished it off with a long down wind run. I was dissapointed with the distance, wanted to at least get a 100, but I stuffed around on the beach too long, when I went back out for the last session the wind died.

Sorry to hear about domestic duties keeing you off the water Mineral. hope to see you on the water soon (was pretty cold the water today).

Thanks Hardie, 'was fun out there. I suspect the hour was early on using the SX, the iso would have been quicker but I did not want to stop in case hthe wind dropped. Distance was important too.

Adam, do you have my number????? PM me on seabreeze if not.

I'm in the middle of shaping my new speed board, but if there's wind, I could be up for it.

Where were all of the other WA sailors today?

Wasn't any wind worth the trouble in Perth.

Thought about driving to Mandurah but I had a cookbook to edit.

Wasn't any wind worth the trouble in Perth.

I do not blame Perth based sailors for not making the journey, I drove all over the UK when I lived there and spent hours sitting on windless beaches before driving home. Not a fun passtime and with the forecasts so unreliable I probably would have made the same call. I had not realsied the wind was so localised
