Morning Session at Safety Bay with no company

Wanted to rig 7.0 but common sense made me rig 7.8 RS Slalom III and put the choco 40 weedy in my Isonic 101

Wind was very Up and down even dropped out to nothing at one point and I had to swim in from the sandbar, there was not even enough to fly the rig and body drag, no sooner than I had hit the beach it was back again got two runs out of it then called it, waited for nearly an hour but there was nothing more to come so packed up.

Bit dissapointed with the alphas was too happy to be going quick into the corner and left my gybes too late coming out with no wind, best one was out at nearly 100 meters proximity.

Trying to grab some points with Decrep,in marginal winter conditions, was about 12 to 18 kts but gust holey and variable.  JP 76 Slalom V TR-4 7.6m JP 36weed, just may have grabbed a point or 2 depending on how the old master did?

Not too bad el capitino, congrats on your alpha!

Mine could have been better if I hadn't been trying to get up wind, all of them were a bit close, some even crossed over.

Should have made more of an effort to pick a course.

Used big bird with the 31 timber weedy and GTX 7.0. I think I've improved this by stiffening the front of the boom battens, the shape is a bit more stable at the bottom end now.

But it feels heavy after using bugsy's Avalon 7.3, still it's a very useable sail, had an enjoyable session on it.

JP Slalom VI 68cm, Vandal Stitch 7.5m, Choooko supercavitation POS (I can't hit enough rocks with it) Weeeeeeeddy 40cm.

I was desperate, all arvy hammering away on a contract due to be presented tomorow after being dropped in my lap at lunch, kept gazing longingly out the window at the trees moving, finished the spreadof sheet at 4 quickly loaded up and nut and bolted down the course to sail with my mates.

Got down there fastest rig ever, fastest getting into the rubber only to chug on the water. Eventualy a gust came and I got going, Hardz had told me I had to do Nm's so I tried and tried, I did 3 attempts and if there wasn't glassy bits in it then that POS chooko was breaking free, got some revenge on it by finding the long flat reef and giving it a realy good scrunge over the rocks (revenge was sweet) funnily enough it didn't affect the performance.

Was nice to get out, chugged less than I planed so can't complain, the nice hot shower when I got home was exceptionally niceCool

Good times... good timesCool

It is amazing how much the shape of the pond has changed at Safety Bay you can see the bit where i walked out and around the edge of it jumping on again at the outer corner, If it stays like this Safety bay will be carnage this summer too many kites and not enough room

I want to beat Bebs to it: would not happen to an EzzyLaughing.

You have had some ill fortune with NP sails recently BenderFrown

Elmo: you must have a different Choco 40 weedy from me, I love mineSurprised it can do no wrong. Perhaps it reacts differnetly to different sailing styles.... yours is a quick style, mine just persistentInnocent

my chooko is looking a bit sorry for itself.

It is mostly likely the wierd way I sail, have the same problems with Techtonics falcons and the leading edge weedies (what the chookos VERY similar to).

It's funny cause fully powered it's not to much of an issue, just when I'm trying to get some more speed out when underpowered, most likely cause I'm trying to load up the fin a bit more rather than let it run
