Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU WSW then W then WNW and finally a SW squall 5-20+knts

RRD 120  Fire race, RSR 8.4m, 46cm MFC weedburner

Started out of desperation to get some sailing fittnes back for Sandy PT next month. Was just planing most of the time. In the distance i could see a dark  storm coming so i hung around slogging most of the time.

When it hit i was down wind so i sailed upwind wildly over done on thr 8.4m in the nasty 25knts bullets. Got to the top pf the run gybed and beared away. All of a sudden i was fanging along. The kit felt sweet. i started to sail deeper (which took me towards shore and into shallower water). next came the bullet gust i wanted. Problem is is hit and i hit a shallow sand bar and had a huge over the handle bars with a peak of 33knts. I thought i had broken my leg it hurt so much. happy as no gear damaged and i got a sail. I now am the proud owner of a second knee cap half way down my left shin
