Fear Factory

Woke up this morning to the sound of a gentle breeze, but my beloved was missing our offspring today so I hung around, got a call from Hardz which didn't realy inspire confidence he also said it was Furken cold and the breeze was backimg of so staying in a nice warm house seemed like a pretty good idea.

Eventually the wind picked up again and I got a limited leave pass (had to pick up offspring 1 @ 11) got down there to see everyoneone chugging so the fear factory looked the go.

After walking up the chanel, hopped on the board hooked in and took of, woo hoo, no pumping today sswwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttCool few tweeks of the harness lines and mast foot and it was a whole lotta fun, the only probs being that the sail is a wee bit big for the board and the board is a bit narrow which I found when burying the rail mid gybe a few times.

Was great fun hooking in and then just going to the footstraps was a few runs where the FF was almost coming of the plane but all in all it was fun , some great runs with Evets, kept thinking about how lucky we areCool

Ended up flagging it after the wind picked up and ended up having to battle the sail which made the speeds go backwards.

It was cold

Started on Isonic 101, changed up to Futura 122, used 7.8 RS Slalom III the whole time.

Went to Secret Harbor with the SUP this morning but when I saw the wind raced back home and got the sailing gear out and hit Safety Bay, should have got there earlier and put the 8.6 up but who cares, got an unexpected sail in

Now about to take the SUP out again for a wave round at Crystals

Fun cold light wind blast with Snides, Hardie, Evets, Decrep and Elmo. Well worth the drive. Didnt really sail broad. It was just pleasant to be planing again.Cool

Joined the mob on a mission to improve the hr and distance, conditions weren't great for either, but our previous results were pretty dismal.

Looks like mission accomplished, and was fun to boot.

Tide was fairly high so thought the rockgarden would be safe. WRONG!!!!! Forgot I had a 31cm fin on, took a couple of chips out almost half way down the leading edge. Fortunately didn't penetrate through to the timber, but it needs fixed as soon as.

Hardies Run, WA, AU

Fun with the mob and Snides, launched 0730 and grovelled until 9.15, pumped a fair bit so was tired when the wind arriced. Sailed 4 hour straight then had to stop as both forearms cramped. ended up sitting on baord drifting in to rest arms.

SXL, Choco 40 weedy, 7.8RSS

Forecast was wrongCool

New GT31 was set to 512 k files, 4 now combined to get the above results. (Thanks technical directorCool)

My hour could be better as it may span 2 files. Cannot get card reader or USB working into my old pc to use realspeedCry. At some point I need to add realspeed to this machine!

Evets, was that the new carbon boom?

I'm convinced that it's to do with the angle of the boom arms, in relation to the angle of your wrists.  The good news is that eventually you'll get used to it (at least I did).

You can send me the files if you want me to stitch them together.
