Fear Factory

Got down the run Bender had rigged up watched him go out and get planing straight away, woo hoo looks like fun.

Rigged the fear factory had some fun with the cams of fear popping of which led to a nice battle getting them back on., Bender was still ripping around, eventually got it all sorted and walked the gear down the channel.

Hoped on the board and started tacking last bit out, the snot was seriously thick, managed to push a bit upwind into cox bay fell of cleared the fin of snot, Bender showed the resulted of his depth checking, displaying a seriously mutilated fin.

Went and water started  pushed a bit futher upwind around a large clump of snot went to go for the harness when BAng, Im flat on my back with my legs in the air, the Fear has claimed another mastYell, Fortunately Bender was there to give me some greatly appreciated help (and amusement when he stomped a crab), paclked all the gear onto the borad, followed Ben's advised and tied the gear tothe board (good advise) and gondola'd the gear in, the snot was a pian catching my feet.

I gave Ben some amusement as well giving him a target to buzz and drench whilst I was poling in (I'll get you DangermouseWink)

So Fear is dead long live the Fear

Thanks for your help BenderCool

Hardies Run, WA, 15Knt SSE

RRD120Fire race, RSR8.4m, 46cm MFC Weedy (now fuc@ed)

Was amped all day tp have a sail as it looked ok all . Rocked up at hardies bout half three, Rigged up and headed out. it was better wind than sunday as it was nice and consistant. After waiting around for Elmo by not saling to far away for the launch site i decided to head a bit further along trhe run. i had passed the rock garden by at least 100m and was a further 100m out fully powered up saling square when bang there was tthree big bumps as  had hit some solid rocks. Sure enough on checking my perfect nick MFC Weedburner 46cm the leading edge was fuc@ked. After that it was hard to sail as the fin caused so much drag it made it hard to sail and to top it off if kept ventilating.

I sailed back just as Elmo had finished putting on all his make up and had finally hit the water. No worries i thought i would still line up for a drag. Just as we got going his mast snapped with a nice loud gun shot sound. Oh well we both got skunked.

Yet another one for the Elmo files, you should publish a book of your misadventures and misfortune in the Windsurfing worldWink

Good work getting out though, I took one look at this arvo and could not be bothered battling around on the carrier with the 8.6 again

That's along way up the Bender, are you sure you were outside all the posts?????hardie's rockgarden

Yep comparing these images, looks like you were further out. Damn!!!!!! If we keep moving these posts out, won't be long before we won't be able to sail thru there at all!!!

Do you want me to have a go at that fin as well??? Bit of a sand back and a few layers of glass, she'll be as good as new.
