Got down to Mortimer by 8AM.  Wind was reasonably strong so rigged my new Severne Reflex 5.6m on the Starboard W49 with 26cm fin.  Didn't really look windy enough for this combo and was quite rough, but I was super keen to try the 5.6 so did (normally would have rigged the 6.5 on the iSonic 94).  Did three off-the-wind runs trying for NM and am very pleased to have managed a PB, especially considering the chop.  The sail felt awesome!!  Hard slog getting back up wind each time, so swapped to my HyperCarve 90 (2004).  This board still sails sweet!!  Managed a 32.88 top speed with a 27cm wave fin.

Good to see quite a few other sailors braving the wet and cold!!

Mortimer bay with a few of the crew, cold and wet but nice to get on the water. Blew the cobwebs out anyway.

Nice blast at lagoon bay with geoff and michael. Round of applause to geoff for performing a spectacular catapult and returning back to the water after breaking his mast in a seperate incident.

Lagoon Beach, TAS, AU

Good wind at Lagoon  today, no weed and water not too choppy. Sailed withJason and Michael 4 a couple of hours.

Managed to break a Mast 2k s from launching. Lucky a couple of fishermen  gave me a lift back. Thanks to Michael for spare mast.

Tried a new spot on the East coast today down at the mouth of the Swan river at Swanick it looked fairly flat behind the sandbar but was covered up by the time I hit the water

Made the oldest mistake in the book the wind coming onshore you should always rig half a metre bigger than you think it looked windier than it really was.

Isonic 76 ka 5.8 venom 30

Well done on the pbs fellas

Hey Dave, BIG congrats on the PB, that’s a great effort and good to hear that the new sail is awesome! Smile Wish I could've made it this morning but had fathers day breakfast duties. I came down later but the wind had died and it wasn’t worth it.
