Battery in the surf wagon was flat, (and I'm glad, by the sounds of the other posts I'm sure I had more fun out here. Used the new 48cm speed board, ado 23/24 lockwood fin and Avalon 6.0

Wasn't as scary today, I've got a bit more used to the acceleration, it was the opposite tack, and a bit more broad, could just get back upwind without tacking. This direction we're running from the shallow sand banks and waves at the southern end into flat water at the North, (until you hit Gearie's and that's a different matter altogether!!!). Think this is a PB for me here, conditions were really nice for it.

Gave Chris a go on my gear, he was very impressed with the sail.

He was on a 4.5 wave sail and is about 10kg heavier than me, he wasn't sure about going up to a 6.0, but I told him how stable and forgiving the sail is, so he gave it a go, said he was hit by a gust, no problems, just went faster, sail felt very light and slippery.

YeaharghCool WoohoooLaughing OMFGSurprised TFISTEmbarassed

Got down there as Webby wsas leaving, looked patchy so I thought once again rig big, Hardz rigged his bestest handbag and went for a 6.7 the whilie old dog he isWink.

Hit the water as the first squall came through after getting pitched a coyuple of times in the channel I was starting to see the wiseness of Sir Hardz decision, up and planing across the bay when the wind was notching up a gear and Hardz was pushing the back of his sail out was the first o my OMFG moments.

Sailing back the wind backed of a bit so got my first yeahargh, second run got a woohoo or 2.

A few squalls came through where there was some more OMFG moments and a few TFISTSurprised which I'll be brutally honest, I was pretty happy about, the worst was not being hit by the bullets but coming out of them and having next to no wind, it seemed a very sharp cut of.

Nice after work blast, think I'm starting to understand how to rig this sail, not happy yet but I think I know what I'm doing wrong

Good fun sailing with the Wise one HardieCool

CA SL52, RSR EvoII 6.2, LE Speed 28pointer

I had a ball today. Finally got to try out the new (ex slowboat) 6.2m. It's leap years ahead of my old RS6 6.2m i had.

It was straight onshore so no reall deep bear aways. The SL52 handles the chop really well. What can i say, today involved saling square for 3-4 NM's gybing and sailing all the way back. Some really solid gusts came through that got close to 25knts. I look forward to saling this combo more. It was great to have a high wind sail before heading to Sandy PtCool

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Had some after work fun with the boys in the big city. Forearms were agony within minutes of launching, I had allowed the forearms of my wetsuit to shrink back to original after I had stretched them to where they were acceptable. Meant I could not sheet in to gybe, at the end I could only do half the run then just drop in to windward with hands unable to gripEmbarassed. Stretching device back in place, should be able to wear suit again soon. A tip for others: beware buying a surfing suit, arms not designed for forearms pumping.

Was great to be out with Loa, 25, Norts and others.
