Very strange forecasted 10 knots woke up to about 30.

Started off south east  horrible energy zapping conditions the same as kev faced first thing. It then swang a few degrees which made it bearable. An hour later it went round to s/w for a couple of runs then through to westerly!

Second boom broken in two weeks! Fortunately under warranty. First real attempt on speed kit - Started the session on wave kit but the wind swung around and dropped so rigged the simmer 6.3 and mistral 95sl.

First run beat my speed record, second run felt the boom bend, looked at it then had the biggest catapult of my short windsurfing career. The first time I have experienced the 'which way is up' feeling when stuck under the sail, started heading to the tip of the mast before I realised and came to my senses. Felt my back go though :($0

Great fun for once glad the forecast was wrong!!!

should have got a better 10's and max but had a small crash and snapped my boom out of sink for a while when i got back out and then the wind shifted and dropped next time i hope?

used twice

Bugger! Under warranty fortunately. Only used twice - now has the wider front end.

The jez's knob - first time it has got wet even though its been in the kit bag for two years - saved the board Laughing Unfortunately my knob didnt save my ribs/stomach/back.

Great stuff team..and in such adverse conditions!  Sorry to hear about the financial and physical injuries.

Just a note to any of our Aussie readers.....SWANG, CATERPOLT AND SINK are all Dorset colloquialisms.  You can expect more from our team's reporting!
