CR 7.0; RRD X-F 102; Vector CF 36 @melville.beach.wa.au

Another pleasant afternoon's sailing with many of the team out...again no big top speeds, but another nudge at the NM, which is the area I'm trying to improve. Am loving the RRD...so nice and controlable....highly recommended.

Started with the Exocet Cross 104L with 6.6M KA Koncept & Choco 34.

Had a go on a nem Tushy Lightning 6.4M & T-bird 4 6.5.

The Lightning is a nice sail, gybes great, the cams rotate perfectly & top end is really stable.

The T-bird is very light in the hands & plenty of bottom end power but not quite as stable in the top end, understandable for a cam free sail.

Later on I changed to the 94L Cross with the Koncept & tried a SAS modified Choco Double Edge 34cm customWink

The fin can't be too bad because that's when I got the best speeds, although not that quickFrown

Graet to get some real wind for a changeSmile

Also tried out the new Clip harness lines from Spain & they worked well, easy to install, easy to adjust and don't swing at all.

Down side is they look like lollies "red snakes"Surprised

Maybe in black or white would be better.

JP Slalom VI 112, NP RSS 7.0, LE 36 pointer.

Spent my time adjusting harness lines on the boom and boom height

Lumpy Melville with some nice gusts, great to catch up with the crew.

Futura 122, 6.5m T3, 40cm drake

Exocet 105, 6.5m T3, 36cm choco fin

Never really comfortable with the rollercoaster lulls and gusts, got wet and had some fun and laughs on the beach anyway.

6.5 T4 (Demo from 2nd Wind - Thanks Paul) 94 Lt Exocet Cross then 84lt Exocet Cross.

Brave move rigging a 6.5 but I had to try it - I did get a little concerned when Darryl rigged down to a 6.2Laughing

A great day out - Wind, Sun, Good Company & Smiles all round.Smile

Scottie, I think Nelson will want to check your tracks tonight.Wink

Melville, TR4 7.6 (for sale) rrd 112 38 tech.  Clear skies, good wind, beautiful day. Bit gusty and wind freshened a bit at the end so tried the 6.2 reflex and isonic 86 for a couple of runs but too many lulls out there. Hopefully more tomorrow. Best speeds on the big gear.

Futura 111, Lightning 6.4 & Drake 38 - I also got to try the new Tushie, very nice, thanks Paul & 2ndwind. I was over powered for most of the runs, but the sail was super stable and absorbed the gusts with ease.Cool Hmmmm...... surely I need a new 6.5!Laughing Jesper your tips for a bigger fin worked well, no front foot probs and the board was a lot more "lively". Might have to try the 40cm tomorrow!

Thanks Annie, there goes the 30 knot cartonWink, would of had 30.59!!Laughing Not to mention 5 other PBs!

OD6.0, Xfire102/CF34 and Sonic85/WeedSpeed26. Melville. Bit of a frustrating day trying new harness lines (must have been the day for it). Had some good runs on the XFire, then changed to the Sonic as the wind picked up. Best speeds were on the Sonic, though the XFire wasn't far off.

Got home to find my brand new pool pump had self destructed, destroying the RCD in the process. $400 later  for the sparky (plus now having to chase up a new pump under warranty) have just got power back to the houseFrown.

Finally brought up my 4k, and in the same week I graduated to "Grand Master"Cool
