Lake Connewarre, Vic

Very nice day today, probaly the best wind we've had on the lake for 6 months, solid and pretty consistant. There is weed everywhere at the moment but today it worked to our advantage. We got the speeds up the back of the lake behind a massive weed bank, but those runs were hit and miss as it was a bit sheltered at the start. It was pretty rough today and Red wanted to do a NM, I agreed, but said only one cos they were hard work, maybe should have tried agian after those results. We managed to find a pretty good area for alpha's today rough on the way in and out but flat for the gybe, Stoked!!. Had the X15's dialed in today they felt awesome, so much power, a gust hits you and you just accelerate, its like the sail isn't twisting off at all, but you've got so much control still, really happy with  all the sails, starting to find there sweet spot now.

Lake Connewarre. Sonic 85, KA Koncept 6.4, FO Weedster 28..

What a great day. The most consistent wind we've had for a long time. Wind was 20-25 and was a bit hesitatant to rig the 6.4 but the sail was well mannered and teamed with the new KA mast was sensational. Jacques had found a run behind the weed bed which involved a very short run-up (enough time to get in straps and harness) followed by an insane bear away weaving through weed clumps! The exit involved carving hard into a slight gap and then running over the top of some floating weed hoping that nothing caught the fin. Exciting stuff. I talked Jacques into a NM and finally got some consistent wind for most of the run.

Hopefully some more days like this please Santa!Tongue out

Knee is better, thanks Red! I may have to sail braced for a while until I get more strength in my legs. Hopefully I will be posting soon. I need to start looking for a cruising board. It may be time to retire the Hyper. Still usable though. Thanks again
