Last minute trip to montagu on a light forecast, wind was just 15-20 and not quite the right angle to do the very very long runs. Any way a very nice cruise with Dad.Cant wait for a big wind day, this place will go off.

JP Slalom VI 56, NP RSSlalom MK IV 6.2

Cant wait to get a day to run the full 3.5km of sandbar.with a bit more wind i would of been doing the full run.

Very gusty on/off day.  Good to try out the new gear, very happy how every thing went in less than ideal conditions.

Wow, nice 1 hr for Montague, that place sounds great!!  Can't wait to sail there one day.  Nice 2-sec and NM for Doran's Russ.

Excellent! Nice work team Perkins, great to see a good 1 hour.  Wind down here was all over the place, spent 5 hours in the water and got nowhere.  Cant wait to give Montague a bash.

Hey Cam you missed this spot when you were here its not that far from Cape Grim, the windiest place in Oz and has the cleanest air in the world.

I tried to draw a line to show the nm runs but its a bit far away, (looked good in the plane) Jordan has his pb nm here.

I have formatted the card so it should be all good nowUndecided

The Isonic 86 is a very sweet board works in a good wind range as well (hope Dave's new on is as fast?). Be interesting to see how my V1 JP56 goes in similar conditions.

Heading down this way soon Cam?  Here you go (see black circle), just happens to be next to Perkins Bay (how appropriate)!!  You can see where the guys rig up from with Izaak's tracks.  That's Stanley off to the right (east)!

Probably one of the most best pleasent road trips in a long time. Most of the time we head off and were faced with snow, rain, hail and every thing else. But this trip 1.45hrs away, we had sun and crystal clear waters. One run i thought crap this is shallow so i stopped and it was well over head high deep.Cant wait for a 30+ knot day there, should be quite often there hopfully. Most of the run you can be so close to the sand.

Izaak, is it tide dependant like Hawley?

Jeez, I didn't realise that you Perks lot owned your own private island and had a bay named after you!!Tongue out

What with all these amazing spots you lot seem to have along with good regular wind I'm seriously tempted to buy a dry suit and move across to Tassie! Green with ivy I am.

Dave, What direction is best for Robins passage?

Johno

Jez SE to WSW has been good so far although I would like to try a NE there and feel a bit safer on the speed board. The tide rips through there fairly strong after a couple of hours from the change.
