Swan Bay

Headed down a bit late i think missed the tide and the wind had started honking 35+ a few times and it was pretty ruff. had to time the gusts and Guess!! were the banks were trying to get some flatish water, backed of a bit at the end and just did laps around near the yatch club, its a great place but hard to get the wind and tides to work together.

Pt Henry .rigged up 6.2m which was good for first run out. then wind picked up and went  a bit more round to the north lots of bullets and on/off gusts. way over powered a few spinouts resulting in stacks/backwinding. towards end had to wait for lulls to get going. won't use 6.2 in 30 knots next time.

hard to find smooth water on a north west even thou tide was almost out, but too shallow in smooth areas. maybe need to look around Geelong grammer schhool / pt wilson to find some new spots for this direction.

should have rigged 5m but had to go to work which is a shame because hav'nt used 5m for about 2 years now.

Andrew was going well on 4.9m and free ride board.

Sorry to stand you up mate - I just realised that I had too much work to do! What time did you get there in the end? Wasn't the tide low at around 12.30pm?
