Rye, VIC, AU

Great day down at Rye_only got down about 11am as i had to wait for someone to pick up something from home.

Tim and Lyle were on the water so rigged up the 5.7_just about to hit the water and the wind dropped, put up the 6.6m headed out the back and stayed there_could have gone back to the 5.7m but couldn't be stuffed coming in_didn't get much speed up as had to point up wind as is usual with Rye.

One of the best sails i have had there.

Bonus was the sun was out and warm.

Hope to hit Bono sun for a sail

Short but good sail at Green Point today, maybe should of had a bigger sail up but still nicely powered at times.

Green Point, VIC, AU, Finally the Northerly came through after lunch and the team was happy (Jman, KGB and Bondy). Gusty and patchy as usual. Bloody hell, what to rigg when FB shows 27+kts, but people schlogging 200m from the shore. Some were suggesting 4.7 others 6.5, so took the punt and went big, 6.6m was perfect as it turned out, got me through the lulls when most others stalled, only in the gusts overpowered but ok when I took it upwind. Great sail after all! If more west tomorrow I will sail Bonno, otherwise back at GP.

Tabou Rocket 105, 36cm Tabou Freeride fin, Ka Koncept 6.6 (and yes I confess wearing camel toe split booties)

Tricky conditions near the beach today, but good once we got out the back. Tried to guard against the Northerly lulls by rigging big, but with a lot of downhaul.

Started on the Syncro 92, then switched to the Screamer 83, which worked well with the 6.5m.

Had to dodge the yachts racing today which was exciting 'cos you had to go for it in order not to stuff up nautical mile attempts!!

Good sail with Jerry, KGBGPSWorthy and Juergie.

Gear: Syncro 92, Screamer 83, Gator 6.5, Ripcurl Internal split CT Booties for grip and warmth.

Went GP in the morning but due to lack of wind decided to do some family duties to get a Sunday sail. I was able steer the wife for quick RS:One sail at Bonno. Wind had a lot east and was very gusty. Was good to confirm RS:One can plan from 7knots up to 25knot gusts with easy. Now the sailor needs some training for the many, many course racing events starting August with a big worldwide event scheduled for Melb in Nov.

Working out where to sail on a northerly in the bay can do your head in.  Must admit glad not to have to worry about sand bars today.

I might be ok for an early sail at bonno tomrw, going out for lunch so it will have to be a quickie.

Good top speed on the Evo KGB.

You are indeed GPS worthy...    ....but are you "sponge worthy"?
