Just couldn't get into the swing of it with the variable winds today. Had fun gasbagging on the beach.

What promised to be a good day was...umm...crap...very gusty, huge dead spots, no decent speed to be found.

Well at least no breakages for me unlike other team members...bad luck Scotty...you get days like that! Well there's always tomorrow!

Futura 93, Lightning 7 & Canefire 34 - Just one of those days... Started rigging the the 7 when bang, the top section of the mast broke and it wasn't even fully downhauled!Cry Whilst being told it was good it didn't happen on the waterCool, Twodogs and a bike with funny looking disc brakes, kindly lent me a mast. Awsome!!Cool Halfway through rigging that up my ratchet downhaul jammed and wouldn't come free, so changed to a 8 to 1 pulley (which I borrowed from Glenno - thanks mate) and which wouldn't fit in the eyelet without some not so gentle encouragement. Hmmmm....... First my phone got drowned windsurfing on Monday and now a mast and mast base... Is this such a good idea?Undecided

Finally got rigged and headed out. Hey there are some nice gusts out here, this is going to be fun..... On my seventh run I could see the gust ahead, this is gonna be good! Pointed it down wind (and I'd like to say it was weed or the leeward rail!) and oh "golly gosh" this isn't good, keep it windward! Oh "GOLLY GOSH" this is going to hurt!! Landed on my sail and thought that didn't hurt at all, awesome! Then looked back at a crumbled sail, a broken mast and a new vent hole on the nose of the 93...CryCryCry Sorry Twodogs, a replacement is coming your way...CryCry Luckliy I was in the shallows, derigged and walked back cursing every step! Yell Thanks Glenno and Stevio for checking up on meCool. To top it off Glennos damn pulley wouldn't come out of the damn eyelet!!Laughing

Did consider going out again on the 111 and the 6.4Innocent, but figured this weeks talley of 1x phone, 2x masts, 1x mast extension, 1x board and 1x batten was already good enough!Embarassed

LaughingExocet Cross 104L with 2012 Koncept 6.6M rigged on a skinny & 38 Vector

Changed to the 84L Cross after a while looking for a bit of speed but didn't happen, under powered all dayFrown

Grabbed the 94L Cross also & got my top speed with the ol' weedy inSurprised

Ended up back on the 104l towards the end & swapped sails with Stevio, same same but rigged on SDM with more DH.

The 2012 Koncepts are veeeery nice, awsome top end stabilityCool

Hopefully tomorrow will be windier & we can be powered up properly

Sorry to hear about the carnage scotty. As long as you are ok, the material stuff doesnt really matter!! Took a leaf out of two dogs book and opted for mountain bike riding Saturday....  tho was thinking of you all as I watched the trees bend!!
