Plenty of whitecaps on arrival at 3.00 so hopes were up for not many holes.

Had quite an enjoyable sail but my lack of km's started to tell after an hour of straight sailing. Wind picked up a bit and started struggling to hang on so bailed. Used a little used fin from the vault as something different. Had a few let gos but not too bad overall. Not an overly positive fin though.

There were the usual holes a fair way out and some crazy random direction chop but enough speed to get through most lulls.

A few close backwinders too to keep it interesting.

Finally an hour PB after 4 years. Embarassed

Tried the new 7.0 today. The sail worked nicely, but it should be able to perform better with some tuning. The camber rotation was not good and there are some untidy creases around the second camber from the bottom. I have the same issues with the 7.8. I am not sure what is wrong, perhaps the mast.

Anyway, it was windy and I enjoyed myself.  Laughing

Hey Baldy, Sunday sounds good if the wind cooperates.

Spoke to Col yesterday and got the lowdown on his 2 sec pb (changed to a smaller fin). Seems I've been right all these years in saying "bigger is not always better"
