hey symon you need to work on your nautical mile in the rough water, may be you need a bigger fin to ride above the chop...Have you herd from Koto since the boys sailed lake george, maybe he has jumped of a cliff

Tony we were at the southern side of goodwin sands, we tacked upwind from the boat ramp at karbethong to get out there. We could do runs from the eastern side of the lake link up with Goodwin Sands then head towards the narrows until we would run out of wind.

Must learn how to post google earth tracks from ka 72, this would paint a clear picture for you.

Thanks for showing the tracks. We have a holiday unit at Mallacoota and spent a lot of time there over there. Looks like yo've been sailing some of our favorite fishing spots. Always wondered about Goodwins as a speed run. Managed a few 40 +'s in the boat

Might have to kick the tenant out and start going back!

Trying to suss this place out, bacck into it after a 20 year break. Mainly sailed waves (mambo etc).Hooked on gpst and lucky enough to be accepted into pit crew. Myself and Gary have both unofficially pre pit crew hit late 30s on Goodwin sands.

We are still learning the art of speed sailing but are very much  addicted.

Give us a yell and we would be more than happy to meet up on this magic spot,and great town. Don't mind if you bring along Red and Jacques for company But please don't tell Kato or Daffy. We live at Eden about 80ks away and when it works you need a boat to get out there in wsw which we can accomodate. Would like to put this place on the map
