Falcon 113L, 38Weedy, 7.8 RS Slalom

Got there too late. Client caught me on the way out of the office. Then I took an hour reteaching myself how to rig the bugger, remembering what Sam and Larko taught me. All the time watching Dion and Steve getting some runs with whitecaps. By the time I got out it had just got worse. No whitecaps for me, perhaps 12-13kn+ in the gusts.

Anyway, was able to get planing a couple of times, front strap only, but this set up fair pegs along even in this anemic wind. Cant wait to have her fully planning where I can actually engage my weight in the back strap and commence warp speed   ;-)

Fun to get out anyway, better on the lake then at work! Will keep my eye on the trees again tomorrow.

Good stuff Aj, smokin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, you will kill it when you guys get some decent wind. Sweet gear, you will love it.

At least you got out, I drove up to Canton on a good looking forecast and got skunked. I think it was because Mick and I got ear bashed all day by Miller the Mouth. We solved the worlds problems though Tongue out

Bugger with the skunking Larko. That happened to me yesterday (although Canton is a longer drive then Queens me thinks). I cant beleive how far out on the rail you sit on these things. I mean, you see the board, but to then sail it was completely foreign to what i am used to (Fanatic Skate and waveboards). Once I am in the front strap with my heal on the rail, do I push through my heal (lifting windward rail) or do I push through my toes keeping her flat....what is fastest?

Thanks again Larko, will probably PM you with more questions as I go along seeing you sail with the same kit. Want to get down and sail with the boys at Canton, looks quite open and more receptive to wind than Queens. Would love to hit Lake Illawarra with ya too on a good day - gets great reviews from the locals and visitors.

Hey Greg, Ive got the 36 XL Eliminator weed hardly used. Average fin, works well off the breeze but doesnt seem to like being loaded up pointing. You could have that for $120. 7m or smaller should work well.

Well Done Dion on your  PB ! The Forecast I would say was for out to sea.

Well-Done Team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adam keeping the Board flat is the fastest! Less drag in the wind. ( Thats what they say in 2 DVD's I have! )

what Mark said, fast is flat and balanced. You will be surprised when you get in both straps and powered, you can keep the board balanced, less drag drag through the water and riding off the fin.

This is a message for Mick Kay,

sorry I didn't get your mobile number that day at Canton Beach. I'm planning to head up there tomorrow for windsurfing. If you are around could you bring down the iSonic we talked about? If possible I would like to try it out. I don't have any tuttle box fins so if you have a suitable fin as well to try it out in that would be great.

If you can't make it or we don't meet up then thats okay.

Thanks.
