Great afternoon out on the water - starting with a nice run across to Kurnell with Troy and ending with lightning bolts from a passing storm. It was good to see Tim out on the small gear for a bit Cool

Bring on the Summer Seabreezes!

That one was strong! Predicted 20kts but was well over 30kts ahead of a big (but brief) lightning storm.

I packed up a bit early as soon as I saw the lightning but it seemed to have drifted away, but the clouds kinda killed the wind anyway.

great session on the 5.5 TR4, RS2 and Nitro 32cm fin. GPS showed top speed of 32... but not recorded. I have to get into the habit of locking the buttons!

Good to see so many people on the water. And looking forward to seeing the photos and video on seabreeze.

Fun light wind cruise until the nor-easter decided to stonk in. Pretty nice at first and the wind kept building and building. Big chop and some strong gusts along with a high tide made it a handful until everyone pulled the pin when it went north and mega gusty. Could see a substantial storm brewing down south.

Really sweet day on the water with sun and wind and lots of guys out.

wanda beach / boat harbour , ne 20+kts manta 59, vapor 6.4 m2.  open ocean slalom , wind chop & swell mad it very bumpy so we headed up to boat harbour  a lot smoother & gustier , then the storm turned up a mad rush toget back lighting all around.  AWSOM AFTERNOON SAILING.

Michael,

Nice run over to see the Captain's memorial - how far is that? 10k's?  Also is the water pretty flat behind the Kurnell groyne in a NE.

It's about 7-8 kms across the bay, and that groyne is a 20 foot high wharf. When we were over there, there was a huge ship getting pushed around by tugs, and the water was really smooth in behind the ship. Huge wind holes, but smooth water...

Only negative was the jetski pilot doing tricks between the beach and rock wall. He nearly ran me over, and came close to a lot of other sailers too..
