Lake Clearwater, Ashburton, NZ

Thermonuclear winds at Lake Clearwater. Measured at over 40 kts when I arrived. Had to wait an hour or two for the 4.5m to become even remotely reasoanable. Some pretty good sailing for a while but then it got patchy. Toward the end of the day a southerly front came through at about 40 kts from the oposite direction! This place has REAL weather.

Took some pics and video. Will try to get them up later.

Ezzy wave 4.5, Fanatic Freewave 86, 22 cm fin I made by cutting the end of an old 11" flex-tip.
