Clifton Beach, QLD, AU Gusty SSE 15-22 knots with the odd stronger gust .Gear ISO 80 RSR E5 6.4 Venom 32

Quick blast off the beach after morning clinic .Found some great patches of smooth water on the Southern End of Double Island but Man you had to be careful of the turtles ...!!!

Helmet & chest protector today ...

Had a 35.4 on the dial today -pretty happy given the gusty nature of the wind .

Expecting big things from Kel & Toody today so fingers crossed....

Kurri with a few of the Mob. 20+kts again. Started with the 6.0 ∞ but too much for this little black duck so changed down to a 5.5 Ezzy free Ex on the Fanatic X100 but still couldn't cope with the conditions. Herby, Freg, Sharon, James were getting into it, good to see.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Great day at Holloways, Cairns,

I have never had it so good here. . . EVER! In case your wondering, when in Cairns and the forecast is 25kt, there is no rain in sight then you should go. The tides were very low to help. That does a good job of smoothing out some of the chop. Alas, eventually the origrqphic rain started to build pushing back the wind. As it turns out a 28.59kts is the fastest I have ever recorded on the open chop.

At least you were stuck "at the Beach" Toody. I had the most enviable task of monitoring 13yr olds hyped up on sugar for my youngest sons birthday..No go anywhere for Bill. I dont reckon conditions would have been A grade any where along the coast yesterday and certainly the beach for Rico would have been like going 3 rounds with Joe Fraser. Freddy, the "almost" King of Kurra. What a surprise. Looks like the young lad has found a new lease on sailing since he aquired the RRD - well done mate. Congrats to Herby and Rossco, you are out for a great time, not a long time. Dr Cam - always on the edge. Nice numbers mate for the soup and I guess we will here more from the Captn tomorrow.

Looks like the tides will aliign next weekend for another trip to GI, just have to wait and see what the weather does. Take care all in the mean time.
