Kurnell 10-15 knots SW

iSonic 90, Loft Switchblade 7.3  36cm Talon

Kurnell had sis consecutive green arrows from the west this morning when I headed off. When I got there the wind had backed right off and swung well offshore to the south west. It looked like there were a few gusts off the beach, so I waited fo one and shot off out past the wind shadow. A couple fo upwind tacks and a walk to the point and it was pretty sailable across the mouth of Quibray bay. I really didn't want to sail in the main bay in light, flukey offshore winds with gear that was far too small for the day.

Hey Tim - not long to go...

Leo, do you mean Quibray Bay? (not Rodd Point)

Alfamale did a good write up on Saturday:

I didn't really have enough wind yesterday but it's always pretty flat in there. I wouldn't take a small board in there, apparently there's some big fish around. It's a bit of a walk back, but if you can fit a board under your arm, it's pretty easy going - just derig on the grass, tie it all to the boom, walk back and you're good to go!
