The wind is a fickle master. Just ask Tom. I got about 40 minutes of mostly planing on a 135 Starboard Carve and a 6.0 Ezzy Infinity. Even had a couple of jibes over 10 knots. Tom rigged twice and got bupkis both times. But he did earn years off any time he might have to serve purgatory by rigging Pam's gear and re-rigging his own during the only time the wind was blowing.

I ended up with a left leg hamstring cramp after about 40 minutes. Must be my karma for blowing off meeting my friend Hans at the bus station as he was passing through en route from Denmark to SF.

Hey, I had to be at Fogland. It was going to be an epic day.

Kalmus & Kennedy Slicks. Wind was a bit up & down. Not really enough power with a 5.5 Matrix for speed at the slicks, but enough to have fun in both flat water and the big swell past the pier. Great day.

Cool Every once in a while, we have a day where we just can't get it right.
Today was my day. The wind was up and down, my sails were down and up.
I would grab a sail and head up wind to Kennedy Slick and the wind would drop.
Do it again and the wind would pick up, again, and it would die...
I eventually gave up any hope of speed and packed it in. Undecided
Not a bad day, just a frustrating one. I guess I need a wave kit.

Posting this for some marginal increases in our team scores.

You should have come to Kalmus, Fred! Lots of wind here, several hours powered on 5.5, 45 minutes were good enough for 4.2.
