Kurnell W 20-30

I was hoping to try out the new board in the 10-15 wind before the front but it turned off before I could get on the water. After a couple of hours wait the westerly kicked in and I rigged the new 6.3. It was probably a bit big for the gusts and the chop was brutal. It was far too taxing, so I bailed early.

They've removed all the grass rigging area on the south side of the road. I hope they finish the road works soon - rigging space is at a premium. Luckily kiters pump up on the beach...

JP 39 slalom . 5.5 mkIV slalom . 17 cm mfc delta

Some of the strongests gusts ive sailed in down at primbie. the 17 weedy worked great and let me get over the wed clumps without an issue.

Had 1 big stack where i lost the sail - ribs hirt a bit but should be ok .

Was trying to get a 24 alpha but just not to be today.

Narrabeen Lake, NSW, AU

Dont know wtf goes on here. Wind came out of nowhere and was bloody strong way earlier than forecast. Was gonna go to Illawarra but forecast said not much til late, wrong. Lake Dangerous looked OK then went ballistic, way overpowered!!!! Had some great runs under Pipeclay Pt and on the edge big time. Got swatted a few times. Had some problems with GPS getting going and numbesr are bizarre (my opionion) but disappointing. Think I need a new SD card.

Nice to get out.

Gusty westerly at Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU

Took the 5.5 TR4 out on my excoet RS2 (91L) with a 32cm Nitro fin... so much fun. Alpha of 22kts was an amazing lay-down gybe with planing exit. So sweet!.

At first the wind was NW but shifted SW later. Hard work getting up-wind for the return run down-wind. So I only made a few runs.

Good to see such a big crowd of commited faces, and a few unfamiliar (wave) sailers. sore now!

Nice runs on port when the SW came in, then the wind died, thought I was gone, ran out off wind out the back, fell in, luff pocket filled up.

Must store a uphaul in my harness or I may not be so lucky next time.

I love this board and sail combo.

It was really rough out there and I had too much sail up, but you know how it is with new gear Foot in mouth

I went over the front three times pushing bearaways in the chop. I feel whiplashy today...

Congrats on the Alpha, Alfa Smile

Michael, How was the Kurnell experience, seems like it would have been rough. I aborted well before the end of the runway at foreshore, as it looked really easy out there!
