Turned out it was a good move, (all the good stuff done on the 36) I was planing most of the time

It had the board nicely over the chop, but still had heaps of control in the gusts. Need to tweak a bit more but very happy using this combo out of its normal range. Not often I give the gear a FW washdown but the whiteout I just avoided worked nicely. Shame it dropped out to glass after that....
