Wallis Lake, NSW, AU   Sweet run at the sailing club with locals Rob and Jason- nice to meet you guys, and cheers for icy beers Jas! What a lovely spot, such clean sand and nice long runs if you want them. Had a ball, I'll be back for sure, keen to sail the weed banks next trip.  12-16 knot sthly I guess riding the 111 Futura with my 6.6 Loft Oxygen.  Thanks again guys.

Moulting Lagoon,Coles Bay, TAS, AU An interesting day on water today. After driving right across Tassie from Stanley to the Friendly Beaches based on more wind in the forecast. We hooked up with T11 (Johno) from the Tassie Speed Seekers at 9.00AM for a try on a normally shallow lagoon which works in a southerly. I saw this spot the previous afternoon at 12-18k and it looked fairly flat on the building southerly. We got excited. Well, we got the strong southerly at 25-30 + knots and driving rain, 9 degrees air temp and very choppy conditions owing to so much water from the huge amounts of rain they've had recently. We'd also heard from Johno that Nat. Parks has been detaining him and his friends, taking names and giving them the third "degree" and generally hassling them for sailing there, disturbing the birds apparently,( The lagoon is a shooting game reserve at certain time of the year as well!) Bit worrying, but all in the cause. Johno rigged a 5.8 and a nice looking Exocet board. Pete and I went for 5.0's.Some of the wildest rides I can say I've had! No gybing today either. Falcon SL79 23 Vector Weed speed, 5.0 Naish Stealth. A Big Thanks Johno for showing us around. Hoping to find something a bit flatter around here for tomorrow's easing wind. Maybe when the wind shifts to the north, or we head up the coast and hope to meet up with Rod(Iceman). Seeing some great posts and winds happening at home. Go Marauders!!!
