Elwood, VIC, AU

Fun session at Elwood today with Mark and later Jak, wind filled in nicely and probably peaked at about 18 knots, great to be back at Elwood Smile

Nice seabreeze at Hampton :). Was even overpowered at times.

Elwood, VIC, AU, short afternoon sail with Jman. Had some domestic duties competing with the appearance of the seabreeze. On the water at 5pm for about an hour. Should have gone for the barge, was hard to keep the Rocket upwind on the plane at times. Well the board choice will be sort of limited for a while. When packing up I discovered a nasty split in the deck in front of the back footstrap and a soft deck underneath, water coming out on pressure. That will take some time to dry and fix. :-(

Does anyone have an unused board in the 105 liter range?

Yeah I wasnt expecting the wind to come up quite that much as Seb said he was a bit over done at times, was pretty happy with the 112 and the 7.2 seems like a nice combo and was good to try it on the bay, I did muck around with the settings at sandy point so that helped to get it tuned right yesterday.

Yeah that is a nasty crack in the Rocket Jak and not a easy one to fix, at least you are able to fix it yourself.

Was on the Board Lady all night. I opened it right up (cut the glass and PVC foam down to the EPS. Lucky I could peel the padz back far enough. Stuck some paper towels in the EPS and letting it dry, seams to work. I reckon I need to squeeze some Urethane foam in. Its about a patch of 30cm x 10cm to repair. Most of it under the pad.
