Stanley, TAS, AU, Woooo Hoooo  totally unexpected result today.

The wind was at right angles to the bank and ended up getting 40 knot runs in each direction.

Great sail with Barry, Johno, Pete and Gabe

Mistral 47, OD 6.2, CL24W...

So nice to have some time on the water. The wind was a bit up and down and dead square to the run so it was interesting at the end of the bearaways! Exspecially when the tide came in and the chop followed.

Dorans, TAS, AU. Isonic 90, R3 6.2 and DW 32cm. Isonic 90, R3 7.0 and DW 36cm.

Left the winter wetsuit at home but definatley should have taken it. Cold, crappy and gusty conditions. Oh yeah its summer, I forgot.

Started on the 7.0 but it came in a solid 30 knots, so changed down. As soon as I went out on the 6.2 it was 7.0 conditions again.

Johno (4871km):

Stanley, TAS, AU

Had a good day with the Barry Cookie Marauders Gabe and Peter

Cookie thats awsome well done.

Tried the RS2 90 Lt Exocet in the stronger wind having trouble getting balanced and spinning out in the chop just a bit of a handfull in the conditions.

Did the long walk back in and grabbed the speed board but too late.

Johno, you had pretty good speed today. I think that speed board would have given you that extra edge for sure. After today, I can now appreciate the why a speed board is a better tool for the job!  Good to sail with you again, in somewhat nicer conditions. At least the sun made a show!!

Thanks all, just one of those days when i wasn't expecting good speed because of the wind direction.

Started getting 40 kn runs each direction, then a 41.5 which i was happy with. Johno decided to go and get his speed board so i stopped out for a few more runs. The wind swung slightly to the north of west so i got a run back into the start of the channel for a 43, stopping just before the sandbank.

No not a spot record dr cam, Kaleb has that Smile
