Tried out the board I'm planning on using at Lake George next month, a red Cheeky Monkey slalom board at Canton Beach. Its a lovely little board, comfortable and seems quite fast. Rough on the gybes but that is not the board's fault. Its good to test it out prior to going as for example I needed different mast base nuts for the finbox mast track. The Chinook ones are too thick to slide down the track. I had one nut that does slip down the track and I swapped one of the Chinook ones for a similar nut.  I used a 17cm MUF slalom delta fin. Not a huge fan of it but it is good when powered up and it also cuts through the weed very well. I think I'll need a different weed fin for Lake George. Used my 5.9m Loft 02. A good choice of sail though the wind was very gusty.

Speaking of wind it was not from a good angle for Canton Beach. However when it blew it was good. I had one long downwinder which was fun, especially going through the clumps of weed turning into a swamp.

Lots of photos taken by my wife. There is a fair chance if you were sailing before I went out there is a photo of you windsurfing, no photos of me though. Let me know if you want me to see if there is a photo of you out there today.

Heat 3 GPS Series Good fun, mostly underpowered but this was the biggest I took considering the forecast. The wind filled in once we were doen with the 1hr!

Thanks Marmong crew for organising, great spot in a Southerly.

Unreal I knew you would get some PBS today Remi.

You were so quick, having drag races with you were so much fun, not used to someone burning me off.

Its going to be close for the hr and thats what its all about having fun and pushing each other.

Realy upset about Chris run in with a fishing boat thats one way to take somes ones fishing line.

It was a great 1hr in Marmong, well done Byron! This is the perfect format for drag racing, no mark, no course limit, sail with whoever you want or on your own etc.

Marmong is a great spot in a Southerly, big chop but not as messy as Botany Wink

Nice one guys! I got caught up with a family function. I was going to go out early, but no wind early so went for a ride instead. Looks like a good day for some PRs!!
