Came out early toWello SE side, Vando came out soon after. I had a view runs with the 6.2 Evo.3 but had to rigg the Evo.4  7.0m. Had a great sail with Vando out the back - flying down & top of the swells -- Wow it was great to be side by side for a short while ---- could not keep up .

Vando the Sail looks good and go's very well,

NP-Evo.4 7.0 - iS97 - Drake. 34 / Bp 35.

Great way to finish the Australian Weekend......

Had a nice sail with Jarreau and simon for a few runs.

Again my gps played up, lost my first hour of tracks, which was a pain!

At first wind was really gusty and the water was like a washing machine, towards the end of the day it got a little better, either way was nice to be on the water.

Big sail small board

Victoria Point, QLD, AU     Jp66/loft 6.3/ven\36.   Sorry to dissapoint the people I conned into coming down today!! lol. Wasnt ideal speed conditions unless you rigged big...lol. Still had a great sail with 3 of the mob and "that Guy" from up north there at Manly.

Cruisey sailing when it was blowing once a few people sacrificed and got off the water :) .Peak speed is almost the max that i can get this board to go. Laughing

Wellington Point, QLD, AU, Falcon 104, Nash Freeride 6.5 and Viper 34cm. As usual I arrived too late. The tide was coming in and it was getting rough, though it was not windy enough to become really bad. I stayed for two hours I hope and had a lot of gype practise and chop sailing. Every time I tried to bear off the wind seemed to drop off, so I did not get any good speeds, also there was a lot of weed that collected on the fin, making me spin out, but at least I got a decent hour. A fun day with some of the mob, who were on the morning shift, but I was on the afternoon shift.

JP Slalom VIII 96L, Select 33cm, EVO5 6.4m. First time to Viccy Point and didn't mind it at all. I'll be back for sure. Was underpowered with the 6.4m (broken batten too grrrr) and should have used the 7.0m instead but still getting used to the new gear so wasn't to bad. Very patchy wind at times but when a bullet came through it was great. My fastest time was first run out the back in the choppy stuff and I think the wind dropped off from there. Thanks for the chat Jarrafe and nice to sail with you as well. I'll keep meeting more of you Mob as time goes by.

Cheers

Marty

Arrived mid afternoon as the tide was rising and the wind began to ease. Rigged my new (secondhand) Loft Racing Blade 7.8m. Spent a lot of time sorting out downhaul, adjustable outhaul, harness rope sttings. By the time it was sorted, the tide had risen and consequently the water had become very bumpy. managed a few runs, but mainly practiced board handling with the loft sail. The racing blade is very powerfull, but a loft heavier than my old KA

Welcome to lake Macquarie Glynn. Good to see you out there, sorry I didn't get a chance to stop and catch up, but glad Byron gave you the grand tour!  Should be similar wind tomorrow.

you opened your arms to me when I went to QLD last year happy to return the favour.

It’s great if we could all do this.

I had a fun sail with you just so comfortable nicely powered on 7.6.Tried to give you an idea of how big the lake is but you saw about 10% of it.

We are lucky to have such a big area of clean water and friendly locals.

Thanks guys. Missed a full house of PB's by 1. Should have done a couple longer runs out back but I think the wind let us down in the end. I have some nice close footage of me chasing you Jarrafe so I'll see what I can put together. Hope to meet you out there soon Greg as I'll be back for sure (although that low tide slog is a lot of work).

Cheers.

Glynn,

I grew up in Newcastle. Lake Macquarie is one of my old stamping grounds. Clean water, sandy bottom, good access to the many places to sail. Where did you rig up?
