Nuking again. Started on the i97, sting 32, 5.8 RS Slalom. Was overpowered and not feeling like another overpowered sail, so I lasted 5k (and got the quickest speeds!) and then changed the FSW92 and 5.0 Gaastra Pulse freeride/wave sail. Was much more comfortable... and much slower. First time I have used this board in a whiile. It is much harder to come out of gybes quick. Battery went flat on GPS, but I did enough runs for 50kms, so just updated that.

Great to see Artur and Remi out there. Both were flying as usual!

Lake George, SA, AU - About 25 knts SE

i101/Koncept 5.8/29 Weed fin (22 deep)

Launched from the other side it's a much easier drive, Jamie and PJ where there and showed me where I can sail. A really enjoyable afternoon. The wind is less gusty than we are used too, there is some chop, but very regular. Getting used to the weed fin. Would be great to organize a team trip down here next year.

Usual gusty NE... up to 30+ knots, difficult to settle and put the foot down in that wind!

George, I'm coming mate. One more day of work and then we are off. I'm only taking one board, a Cheeky Monkey slalom around 85 litres. Do you think that will be alright? Good one on the PBs once again! An 18 knots hour is impressive. So no go to Budgewoi Lake Adrian? Not sure if it was that windy there.

Karl, from what we had so far that board would be all you need and the best choice. Remember that it's cold here when the wind blows. from the forecast I think Sunday no wind, but Monday will be very strong. Definitely bring a 5.0 and if you have a smaller one as well.

Looking forward to seeing you soon

PJ, yes, I will have to come here every year if i want to improve my scores :-)

Good to hear George, packed the van last night. I don't have a 5m sail but have 4.5m. So if it really blows I'll be okay. I double checked and we are booked in from next Tuesday night so hopefully arrive fairly early on Tueday. Also have some fishing rods and books to read if it doesn't blow. I'll take my shorty wetsuit too.

Last day of work..... Not going to miss it thats for sure.

Karl take a long leg wet suit as the weed is abrasive on your legs!   you wont need it if you dont fall off Winkor stop to check your times
