Pelican Point, WA, AU

Short story ... a PB, one that I've been aiming for a while. Did it the hard way and was aiming for 120K's + so a little disappointed.

Longer version...hit the water at 245 and immediately sailed like a gumby. Was struggling to nail effectives gybes on the Patrik 115v2 I was using and was a bit underdone on the 7.0. At 3 the yachts came out in force, and started to contemplate calling it quits and saving it for another day. Persisted as the board was eating up the chop well and aimed for an hour and then call it quits. Got to the hour and thought, maybe a bit more. By 4 things were starting to click a little and by 415, all the yachts buggered off, so suddenly, I had the entire river to myself. No one else was around in the middle. Got to 2 hours, thought another half hour should get to 120k's. By 5 the wind was getting a bit dodgy and the 7.8 would have been ideal. Thought i'll go to 530 and that should do it. By then the wind was really backing off, the callosouses were hurting, the water pack was empty but could have easily done a few more runs just to be sure.

So, in all, a straight 2 hours and 45 minutes of non stop sailing, which with some more wind, would have added some more k's. Still,  pleased to finally knock off this PB, the second for the season, in what were less than ideal conditions.

Patrik 115v2, Reflex 4 7.0 and C3 Sting 38

Here's the spaghetti soup tracks (hope this works)

Thanks guys. I think You're right Snides. 107ks out of a two hour 45 min sail seems a poor return but it was the river and with the yachts and dodgy wind, it is good to get a pb all the same !
