Lake George, SA, AU W to WSW up to 15 knots.

What a place!Cool Great first sail at the legendary lake. Light, puffy wind, but just right for getting to know the lake a bit.  Rigged the 7.8m but went out on the 6.2m because it looked like it was starting to white cap - wrong! Well underpowered, so came in and re-rigged the 7.8m(!) and had a nice cruise. Fun to sail with Terry (happy birthdaySmile) and Tex after the big drive yesterday. Also a great line up of NSW, QLD & WA sailors.

Love the Reflex 5 sails!

Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU

Long day at the ramp today. Started at 9:30am with the kids. Charli and Finn are learning fast, Charli actually used a harness for the first time today. The big smile told it all. Finn's almost ready for the harness too, maybe next time out. Had a great time on the longboard with kids on the front, 7.2 in 20+kts of wind, great fun.

Finally rigged a 6.2RSR, 56 wide custom slalom, 20cm custom weed fin and headed up to the weed bank with Mudskipper, Troll and Keef. It was very shallow and a lot of weed. My 42 degree rake needs to be more, I could feel the weed when sailing down the weed bank, still a lot of fun.

Changed fin to a 28cm custom slalom fin and tried a few runs in the chop. Very happy with this setup in these conditions, hit a PB of 37.42kts coming into the ramp. Stoked!

It was great to see Steve Cox back sailing at the ramp.

Nice Cruisy Sail.  Kanahooka to Windang had a huge wind gradient - 12-15 and Kanahook, 18-20 at Windang.  Just choose the spot in the lake that suits your size and you're all set.

Did about an hour on the big kit - Starboard Freeformula 158, 58cm Maui Upright Fin, 8.0 HSM GPS.  Wind seemed strong and realistically could have been on the smaller kit but told myself to swallow some cement and HTFU.  Lovely range on the 8.0 GPS by by golly its HEAVY!  Came and and began derigging but Mark and Darrren turned up so was peer pressured into a few runs on the 104l Fanatic Falcon, 6.7 NP RS Slalom Mk II and 40cm upright fin.  After an hour on the big, heavy gear, it felt totall bizarre to switch down - fell like there was nothing in my hands and nothing under my feet!!  I think I now understand where everybody sneaks off to at Kanahook for a few speedy runs - just north of the sailing club!

All in all, a great day - nothing broken (certainly not PBs).

Kanahooka, NSW, AU  Fanatic ray 110, 6.6 naish sprint.

Having a great time with Eckas, Ben, Darren and Ian til Darren broke a mast and required some assistance. You should get a wall of fame going with broken mast bits Darren Wink

Terry you might be a bit older than Tex but I bet he falls asleep on the lounge before you.

My PB tips for your trip are Terry >36knots, Tex >39knots and Bushfire has got to be good for 47 knots at least.

Hoping to see some photos of the lake conditions by the end of the trip. Have a great time guys
