Where'sDave? (5360km): Lake George, SA, AU IS94 Koncept6.6 Choco 27 weed 13 to 15knts last sail at LG before the big drive home. Just fun sailing time to finish of the week. Feeling pretty tired and sore. Had a great week of sailing with the team meet many new people from all over the country, SA hosts were great, Big thumbs up.
Sick_em_rex (12209km): Lake George, SA, AU last day of our Lake George adventure and we managed another sail in about 15 knots. That has meant 6 out of 8 days sailing so a great result for us all. Managed to rack up 500km in my 6 days so very happy with that. Today I spent most of the day trying to get an alpha pb to make it 6 pb's across all categories and I think I just snuck it in. An awesome trip with a great crowd and I can't wait to be back again next year to chase the elusive 40knots peak!
the new guy (37314km): Lake George Isonic 90, Loft Switchblade 7.3, FO weedy 25cm What a way to round off a brilliant week at the lake. As the others have said, we were spoilt with 6 of 8 days sailing, with another 650kms added to the total :) We didn't get the lake at it's optimum, but that's left us wanting more! My last PB was leaving the lake at 6pm sydney time yesterday and getting home at 7am this morning. (a PB I don't think I want to break...)
Larko (11426km): Beachport, SA, AU Last sail of our LG trip. Just fun cruising on big gear and enjoying the glass and flat water of Cocky's. Was great to get out with heaps of new arrivals and run up and down the lake above the islands. Definitely under finned today but couldnt be bothered walking the extra distance to clear a 32 weedy . Ended up running aground anyway and tweaking my knee so pulled the pin to start the pack up and get on the road back to Sydney. Long way but way worth it. Amazing place with very steady wind. Was a bit sad today to see lots of spent 12 gauge shells and 2 dead ducks after the season opened yesterday, could hear the booms early in the morning. \ Sad to leave after meeting heaps of GPS sailors from all over Oz. Seeya same time next year. Falcon 112, Evo V 7.8, custom weedy 25. |
