Green Island QLD

Yeeharr!! Awesome morning sailing on the island, Walked out on the point at 830 this morning and the wind was honking!

Solid 30knts with 35Knt gusts, so i couldn't resist a little speed session before the Nats racing got in way of my fun. The first run out the fin was still tapping the bottom so i waited outside for another 15mins before my first run into the speed bank. First run in I got a 41.8 on the dial being very careful so knew PB's were on the way. Had 5 more runs and ended up with a 42.44 peak on the dial as was amped for a day of racing in the slalom and Free-race.

Had three slalom races in out of control conditions before I staked on a gybe and landed on my fin, slicing my ankle and heal open in nasty gash,Yell after a quick sail back to the beach with a nice blood trail behind me the decision was made that i head back to Cairns for a quick stichup at Cam's surgery.

Not sure if i will be back at the Nats yet but hopefully Cam patch it up enough so i can get back out this week!

Used Isonic Speed Special 49, C3 Sling Shot 21, 2014 Isonic 90, C3 Viper 32 and Overdrive 6.0Cool

Green Island, QLD, AU

some decent wind for a change Cool

I heard that kelly had already done a 42 while we were on the boat over so when i arrived it was a quick change into the boardies and onto the water. first run was wiuth the 6.2 koncept and 91 mistral slalom with 32 vector volt g10. was very surprised to see a 40 something on the clock. dad came over to watch the racing and caddied my speed board up to the point for me. quickly changed over to that for a few runs but didnt go much quicker with a couple of low 40's and some hell spinout leading into the run over the chop. got a bit sketchy so called it quits in anticpation for the racing.

Argh Kel sweet and sour.  Congrats on the very impressive 2 sec and 5x10 PB's mate but sorry to hear about the sliced ankle / heal. And as if a little fin tapping on the bottom would scare you - I suppose you are 40 now though.

PS - You don't mind if I drive up tonight and use the gear tomorrow do you? Wink
