Safety Bay, WA, AU

Good hour and a bit sail after the wind changed W-WSW after the 1030 front. The Pond attracted 5 sailors. Was fun to Bump & Jump with the little waves coming over the sand bar. Probably averaged 20kn wind speed with the odd mad moment. Wasnt overly cold either, but seemed to drop away a bit by 1ish, so i figured i should call it a day to do some household fun/not so fun stuff.

Melville Beach, WA

9am start, hour and distance session with Lao - wingman duties Laughing

Used the big kit as my 7.3 is out of action - the 8m was a handful in the stronger gusts of about 25 knots.

Epic downwinders with Lao down the middle of the river which had nice smooth swell lines in the NW wind.

Rained a lot - best NM was in a white-out with stinging rain the whole way - super fun though!

Numbers from KA72 for comparison despite alpha (21.07), hour (18.12) and distance (119.3) being higher in Realspeed!

Happy with the way the hands held up after a month off the water and an overpowered wavesail yesterday.

A good fitness session with a bit of everything. Sun (at the start), stinging rain and wind from 5-25.

Some good drags with JJ across to the other side of the river and back.

Impressed that he stayed out in the worst of it with the 8m!

Well done, Lunny on the PBCool

JJ! Huge hour and distance there mate ( for someone who hates doing hours and distance)! an extra 700m was out of the question?

Thanks Lao. Your powers of persuasion must have been at their very best!

Lunny, congrats on the hour PB. That's very impressive after your big effort yesterday.

GS, I'm very impressed with your dedication on getting out in all kinds of weather. Time on water counts for a lot and this summer will see you pass many milestines, I am sure.

Huge effort there Mark, not least being convincing JJ to go the distance with you.

A nice boost up the ladder - 2nd for distance!

Thanks Laughing

Welcome back!

Thanks for the encouragement Anita.  It will take me a while yet to be any use to the team!
