early days

i got it about an hr before sailing with it..

so i just turned it on and went for it.

i have only now had the time, and managed to convert

to a .gpx- and uploaded to ka72.

How ever i didnt have the interval set to 1 sec  (the default was 5sec).  ka72 noted this..

So data wise not much detail sorry.

Functionality wise its small, looks fairly well made, only has 2 buttons (same as gt31)

so a bit of an issue scrolling through menus and selecting etc...

the usb has a fairly good cover but i wouldnt want to submerge it for too long.

I need to determine if the full gpx file will have the data we need or if i have to

convert the .fit file to another format.

imo-

It def needs the units changed to knots etc- this is the most important change needed.

I dont need speed genie (this is a waste of time for me personally,i would rather be sailing than continually looking at a screen and in any case the numbers will be what ever they will be)

and in any case the screen is too small to see the info on

especially in a bag.

Snides, if it is of any help to you GPSBabel can read .fit files and then convert to .bin  (Navitel binary track) which is what GPSResults can read and i would guess so can the others. It can also convert to NMEA and a stack of other formats if required. (And I agree with all your coments above, esp the knots and speed genie :-)
