Boggy Lake, SA, AU

Opened my season today, first sail since April.  Sometimes fully lit for a whole hour, other times punching in and out of gusts, but had a blast on my 100l/35cm/6.0m.  great to see so many faces out today, here's hoping for  a good season.

[edit] woah, a PB for alpha.  i did have some good corners, but that I didn't expect.

Used 95 falcon with 7m blade. Combo felt good. Started out well then got a little strong for comfort but held on and gritted my teeth.  It faided out after an hour or so to a nice cruise. Good to catch up with all that went. Fun day for fathers day

Cruise at Boggy lake.  Borrowed the demo Simmer Monster 100 from SWS - thanks Gareth as my Fanatic Falcon 89 is out of action at the moment.  Not as slippery up top as the Fanatic's but good through the chop for a bigger boardSmile.  Fun sesh with a good turnout.  Choppy direction but long run - 6 - 7 km runs.

Boggy lake - 15 - 20 knots with some bigger gusts.

Simmer Monster 100 / Hot sails GPS 6.6 and Select sl7 35cm fin.

Comparison from Cranmore:-

2 sec - 31.56, 10 sec - 29.98, 1 hour - 21.66, Alpha - 18.68, nautical mile - 26.75 - distance - 68.08

Another sail straight after working a night duty shift. Great day, wind kicked in from around 0930. As I finished up around 1130 hours people were rigging and about to go out :-( Great day, sun out, warm, and friendly atmosphere.

cheers guys.  a big session with the icing of a PB is a top start to my season, and fires me up for some serious sailing this summer (although I am seriously sore today - I wasn't tuned the best, so relied a bit too much on manhandling the rig, my forearms are still like concrete this morning!).

unusual direction - my tracks tell me my longest leg was just over 2 nautical miles.  rare to be able to do that at the bog.

yeah, as I chased you deep into the lake Sam, I was thinking that my harness is about seven years old.
