3515 days ago Got down to Rose Bay and it was cranking, so rigged the IS90, Techtonics goldwing 32 and the R4 6.2, ready to try the 90 for the first time and smash all my records. Got out to the middle of the river, and then couldnt get going again... Bugger. Drifted my way back in, walked the 300m with my gear back to where I launched from and was ready to throw in the towel - but I could see Alan shredding on his big gear, and I decided I may as well. Got the IS117, Sting II 42 and R3 7.8 rigged and headed out. Well powered up most of the time, few holes (everytime I tried to gybe) a few solid gusts and a bit of unwelcome chop. But, one of the most enjoyable sails I've had. Didnt get long, as the sun had set and the light was fading fast, but I did get a PB so im feeling super stoked. Next time I get the 90 out I'll pick a spot I can touch the bottom.

3515 days ago Rose Bay, TAS, AU isonic 127 r4 7.0 started with the 110 and 6.2 but that wasent going to happen as it had dropped a fair bit so rigged the 7 and put it on the 127 not the right sail i know but the big board got me through the lulls. Had great fun with furgus and Jock who rerigged larger gear too. Had some great half river long bearoffs. Bit of a hoot. Think thats a fast as I can get the 127 to go. Jock wes killing it on the 117 hanging on really well in those heavy gusts.

3515 days ago 1 categories Stanley, TAS, AU. Started on the high tide with the 112 and a 7.0 OD was gusty and choppy, had a few good runs,
went in and waited for the tide to drop a bit. As the sand started to appear i went back out again but the wind was a lot stronger,
sailed for a while but didnt achieve much. Decided to change to the M47 and a 6.2 OD this was a bit too much of a jump down.
Well done on the PB Jock.
