Less wind than Monday, 15-16 knots, but still good conditions for gybe practice.

More improvement today. I'm getting rid of those flat bottoms on my gybes and getting a nice hairpin shape now. Still need to end less square than I am, but I am getting there. Thanks for the tips Stroppo, there is nothing like advice from an expert. I'm sure I would have scored a PB today if it had been as windy as Monday. Consistency is improving too, I completed about 90% today. Having struggled with gybes for so long this is quite exciting!

My longest distance since the third of March and my best hour since 1st of Feb. I eventually stopped because my hands were sore. I still had energy left. Thought I'd better save some for the weekend...

Not quite as good out there today but still lucky to be out, should have stayed with the same combo as yesterday but good to feel the differences in gear. Seems the ship performs quite well.

Quick blast after work out from Dutchies up to Leighton and back.

was hoping for a decent nautical mile on the way back but the wind had shifted a bit more southerly and i didnt like being too far out by myself with the sun setting so probably gybed a bit too early!

Quick chat with Bjorn when he came in but apart from that i was the only sailor out, only kites for company!

Melville- Kode, CR7.5 Drake 38.  Got there a bit late for the wind.  Struggling with my gybes but good to have some slow practices.

There was only me and a handful of kiters at the pond yesterday. It was a bit lonely, but great for gybing practice. They all stayed upwind so I didn't have to worry about avoiding anybody.

GS, I have learnt a lot about gybing lately and I may be able to help you. I have learnt the hard way, by making all the mistakes and then having to correct them. If you can say where your problem is, I can probably help you. Email me, or even all the team if you would like help. Tell us what you think is happening (or not happening) with your gybes. I would say your major problem yesterday was lack of wind. I only just had enough toward the end and it was making a good gybe difficult. Looking at your track from yesterday it looks like you were trying to gybe too tightly for the light wind. In light wind you need to make a wider arc to avoid losing too much speed. Look at Col's track from Melville yesterday http://www.ka72.com/viewge.aspx?fid=72895&tid=0 He scored a 20 knot alpha. See how much wider his gybes are.
